ISO19770 & IAITAM 12 KPAs: How They’re Related & Can Work Together
For many years now, the IAITAM 12 KPA model has assisted IT asset managers around the world in setting up ITAM programs and adopting industry best practices. In a more recent past, ISO acknowledged the importance and value of ITAM and developed a standard of their own (19770). With the latest revision in 2017, the ISO19770 standard for ITAM has now earned a definitive place in the field IT asset management globally. Nevertheless, as the Dutch saying goes, “never bet it all on one horse”. The IAITAM 12 KPA model has never ceased to be of value and will remain very useful indeed in any IT asset management program, those following ISO19770 principles explicitly included. In this educational session, we’ll dive into how the 12 KPAs of IAITAM are related to the ISO standard and how they work together.
