Oracle’s Premier Support for Oracle Database Enterprise Edition 12.1 expired in July 2018, as published in Oracle’s Lifetime Support policies for Oracle Technology programs. Although this Premier Support already expired more than 1 year ago, Oracle waived the Extended Support Fees for the period of August 2018 – July 2019. This means that many end users that deploy Oracle Database Enterprise Edition 12.1 may not even be aware that they were using a database version that was out of Premier Support for more than a year.
