Managing final disposition of hardware assets has been greatly aided by e-scrap recycling standards such as the R2 standard. When long-time executive director John Lingelbach left the R2 administrative organization known as SERI (Sustainable Electronics Recycling International) earlier this year, IAITAM lost a long-time resource and collaborator. Corey Dehmey, was announced this week as the new executive director. Please read the announcement for more on Dehmey’s experience. IAITAM looks forward to continuing to working with SERI so that IT Asset Management profession is up to date on the e-scrap industry including the ITAD vendors that we rely on. When asked by IAITAM about his direction for SERI, Dehmey stated “I am excited to continue SERI’s mission and look forward to helping IT asset managers understand the benefits and manage the risks of selling reusable assets and recycling end-of-life equipment.”
