For the organization there will be better understanding of what ITAM does/what we manage – as well as financial savings for different divisions. If they have a better grasp on what devices they have, they can save money and don’t have to pay for disabled devices or one’s that aren’t actually assigned to them.
Training – The organization will have individuals who feel they are part of the “bigger picture”, they will understand the risks the organization takes in daily operations, these individuals will realize the cost of the equipment provided and the level of productivity they achieve due to the ITAM program processes. The employees will react in a more positive manner to the ITAM programs they are presented with during the lifecycle of the IT assets.
Policy – Having clear and concise policies and responsibilities of all employees will reduce the number of out of compliance assets due to misunderstandings.
