Everyone who uses technology in any form is a customer. I cannot think of any department that would not be a customer.
I agree with some of the other answers here to a degree, that everyone is eventually an ITAM customer. However, not every role in an organization requires IT assets obtained and managed by an ITAM program. Until that happens, I would argue they are not ITAM customers.
they can hardly be named, because eventually, everyone is a client of ITAM, including clients which are provided with free wifi and in exchange are required to give us their emails in order to connect to internet.
our clients are not ITAM clients because working in consultancy customer received only the results of our knowledge without being connected in any way to our IT assets. except that, everyone is eventually an ITAM customer.
