There needs to be a document that can let end users know what impact they have on ITAM and info that is sent around the organization- so that they can help improve ITAM data and processes.

There also needs to be documentation of ALL ITAM processes – HW and software – so that in the even that any system needs to be updated, there will be complete references.

Training – The importance of ITAM equipment to each employee should be discussed, this will enable the individual to feel involved in the ITAM process and understand the importance of taking care of and returning equipment when requested.

Policy – The policy is hard to enforce when individuals do not understand their role in the ITAM process.
