Standards align in integrity and documentation, following best practices such as ITIL, NIST, OSFI, SOX, ISO 22301, etc. As such program requirements follow a lot of these guidelines. Technical Team is typically responsible for ITAM but our business functions are now getting involved.

Our ITAM program is still fairly new but is growing. The standards are largely present, but responsibility is and documentation needs to catch up.

Our manager has taken this certification and aligns with IAITAM’s practices. We do not handle Hardware disposal / inventory though. That is managed by another team.
