    It depends on the policy. There are termination consequences for those who disregard policies that protect company data and systems.
    For lighter offenses, maybe they get a written warning that is added to their employee file.

    The consequences would not be up to me or probably the Department of the policies are not followed. Ultimately the union would get involved, along with the department director and HR, and consequences would be figured out at that point and most likely will not be uniform for the same infraction committed by different people.
