ParticipantI will be taking the CSAM certification later this month. And if all goes well, I may consider the CITAM exam at a later date.

ParticipantI agree with many of the comments regarding COVID-19 and remote working. In recent years, remote work has become a critical consideration for candidates evaluating new job opportunities, and it’s likely to remain an ongoing expectation.
From an IT perspective, a notable trend—perhaps (accelerated by remote work requirements) is the shift towards the “Domainless” Enterprise. More organizations are moving away from on-premises domains in favor of enhanced security models, such as Decentralized Identity Management and Zero Trust. This transition can present challenges for asset management, as traditional device discovery methods often depend on Active Directory or IP scanning. As a result, organizations increasingly need to leverage modern device management tools for ITAM. Microsoft Intune, for example, is becoming an essential platform in this new landscape.
AI – how could I not mention it? Artificial intelligence is ubiquitous, and nearly everyone has interacted with it in some form. But as adoption accelerates, how long will it be before AI becomes the next Oracle Database (where auditors show up with hefty bills for exceeding your licensed entitlements)? That leads to the question of, How do you track it? Additionally, there’s the rising concern of “shadow AI,” Where unauthorized or unmonitored AI usage could further complicate compliance and governance.
