We have more than one library, but we need to work to streamline it (get to a single source).
December 19, 2024 at 8:15 pm in reply to: Name legislations you’re familiar with that likely will affect your ITAM program. #66119Jennifer FedyszynParticipantSOX, copyright law, legislations unique to the energy industry.
December 19, 2024 at 8:13 pm in reply to: What educational events will you attend to improve your ITAM skills? #66118Jennifer FedyszynParticipantI will continue taking other IAITAM certification courses. December 19, 2024 at 8:04 pm in reply to: What do you think is the most important policy for an ITAM program? #66115Jennifer FedyszynParticipantEstablishing clear guidelines and having a way to enforce them.
December 19, 2024 at 8:03 pm in reply to: Policies must be enforced. What consequences will there be if they are not followed? #66114Jennifer FedyszynParticipantLikely escalation through the chain of command to start. If serious or a major compliance issue, perhaps something a little more severe.
December 19, 2024 at 8:01 pm in reply to: Consider a process in your organization and brainstorm how to simplify it. #66113Jennifer FedyszynParticipantHardware accessories ordering process: Can be simplified by use of our vendor’s portal to have standards for device types (keyboards, mice, ergonomic products, etc.) that can be quickly reordered or even kept in stock.
December 19, 2024 at 7:59 pm in reply to: In what ways will your office culture affect how you communicate? #66112Jennifer FedyszynParticipantThere are many siloes, even in IT. Follow up with articles on our company intranet and emails.

December 19, 2024 at 7:52 pm in reply to: What roles and responsibilities do you have or anticipate you’ll have in your ITAM program? #66108Jennifer FedyszynParticipantI do or will have a role in or responsibilities for the following areas: Communication & Education Management, Policy Management, Documentation Management, Financial Management, Compliance Management, Vendor Management, and Acquisition Management.
Jennifer FedyszynParticipantOne aspect of my organization’s “Is” and “Should” map (e.g., current state and future state):
Is: We are not doing the best job of documentation management, specific to the financials in our asset management system. Specifically, we receive quotes from a particular vendor with one line item (per the IT resources) and it isn’t broken down into software, hardware, and services.
Should: We should request, and enforce itemized quotes for better tracking, and set best practices for documentation management and data entry that are enforced and periodically audited to ensure accuracy.December 19, 2024 at 7:45 pm in reply to: What non-verbals are you using right now as you read these discussion questions? #66106Jennifer FedyszynParticipantI have a thinking, tired and frustrated face since I would have gone through the slide deck at the same time as the video segments (redundant).
