Events are a bit limited for me, since I am in a small organisation in Australia.
Virtually though, I am planning on taking as many courses in ITAM as my organisation will let me.While both are important, communication is more important since it can prompt for education (formal or informal) and it allows people to find out that there is something that they were not aware of.
Asset identification, so that a baseline is created. From there, a program and policy can be developed with a knowledge of the assets you are working with.
