Agile methodologies, originally from software development, were being applied more broadly to other business functions. Agile management emphasizes adaptability, collaboration, and iterative development.

ITAM processes have become very automated. There is also a heavy number of employees working remotely which makes it even more important to have an organized ITAM process in place to track/monitor all IT equipment.
