For the organization there will be better understanding of what ITAM does/what we manage – as well as financial savings for different divisions. If they have a better grasp on what devices they have, they can save money and don’t have to pay for disabled devices or one’s that aren’t actually assigned to them.
There needs to be a document that can let end users know what impact they have on ITAM and info that is sent around the organization- so that they can help improve ITAM data and processes.

No improvements needed on the ITAM side as this process is mainly ran by procurement.
What percentage of hardware assets are acquired through a centralized request process? – 100% – everything must be submitted in a formal ticket request that then flows through the different needed departments of the org.
We are currently using a hardware discovery tool, software discovery tool, hardware asset manager (for hardware devices and mobile devices)
Creating an audit team – to assist and help prepare with a standardized audit process. Would benefit the team and also help be ahead in the event that an audit is needed.
