Use inventory to find what the company owns( or leases )
Reconcile against consumers and equipment in use to see if there is an equipment not being used but being paid for.
Re-utilization of hardware which is still ok to use.Through reconciliation, I would expect to uncover unused assets which can be re-used by others in the organization.
It would avoid the need to purchase the same licenses ( duplication ).Put together a set of business practices that support the use of software and /or hardware in a responsive and productive way.
as a provider of solutions, my main audience are ITAM managers or admins therefore I am in close contract with them.
After these courses though, I plan to become a member of IAITAM so that I can get involved in the industry as an ITAM practitioner myself.I work for one of the ( ITAM ) solution leaders and my goal is to learn all aspects of what and ITAM practice/program entails.
What their challenges are and how the solution I represent can help them to successfully deliver expected goals.
Knowing the ITAM industry and the ITAM professional role in depth, helps me to articulate the value of solutions and how it can adhere to their deliverables.Learning and being aware of best practices as per IAITAM standards so that these best practices can be used in my profession.
I am new in this ITAM world and learning a lot as I go therefore. at this point in time, i am not in position to suggest anything further than the current 12 KPAs.
