ParticipantWe have been reducing waste in our environment by enhancing our refresh plans and schedules, which reduces the amount of labor and the amount of hardware being utilized. We’ve also worked on packaging reduction and are constantly improving our JIT inventory levels.

ParticipantI’m hoping that ITAM will give me the knowledge to properly reach a JIT approach to reduce on hand inventory and overordering and help me with streamlining our asset recovery efforts, especially with our WFH co-workers, to reduce the amount of lost or stolen hardware in those areas. Both of these will result in significant savings to our organization.

ParticipantWe have a separate team that handles software management. I am not privy to their savings, though our HAM group does ensure that during procurement we review license usage before we order more.
