No I used to have these when doing tool agnostic consulting. Since I work for CDW all our customers buy from us.
The Acquisition Manager has the power and responsibility to approve / reject asset acquisition requests, either via automation of policy-driven processes and procedures or, personally. They must exercise this power and responsibility.
In some cases yes, others no. Depends on how big the customer is, how many folks play multiple roles.
I require my customers to identify the individuals who will own the roles (depending on scope, where they are in the maturity journey).
Ensuring all vendors have and use sustainability procedures, and having an ITAD vendor who recycles when feasible and is regulatory compliant when it comes to hazmat disposal
I honestly am not sure what CDW does for its employees, however I advise the customers I serve to get a dedicated ITAD vendor. If they want me to recommend, I will, or if they simply want logistics, aka OnePak services I will connect them. I do have customers who use an ITAD vendor at disposal however not always the same one as they shop around for the best deal at the time.
For mobile, most of my customers use BYOD, so savings are not as big as security. Offboarding processes that disable accounts immediately at termination prevent loss of IP, sensitive data, etc.
For hardware biggest thing customers achieve is getting rid of old unused hardware scattered around the environment, and with software removal saving on license renewals. going forward, some save big by reusing available inventory however that is not feasible for everyone due to company policies or legislative requirements (e.g., Brazil)
