Strengths: motivation to do the job well.
Weaknesses: some lack of technical knowledge.
Opportunity: IAITAM training.
Threat: lack of buy-in from other employeesStrengths: A dedicated team to take on the challenges of a growing ITAM program.
Weaknesses: buy-in from people who have been with the company for a long time and are used to doing things a certain way.
Opportunities: The ability to create new processes using new software to assist.
Threats: people choosing to try to work around the processes we are putting into place.I asked a group a question and could tell by the responses that I didn’t communicate the question well. I thanked everyone for their feedback and then rephrased my original question so that the group understood.
The Acquisition Manager acts as a gatekeeper by evaluated each user’s request to determine if the need is truly there and what hardware or software will best fulfil the need compared to the value of the asset.
By presenting the value-add that the ITAM program will provide to the company – hence the need to add new job titles.
To an extent. I think the more we learn about asset management, the better we will be at assigning roles appropriately.
Having a disposal process that is mindful of environmental components. Working with vendors who also prioritize the environment.
