I previous roles, I have established templates or have used pre-determined templates within the organization’s enterprise procurement processes for RFP/RFQs.
Many procurement processes are owned by the enterprise procurement and templates are setup in the ERP. The linkage back to the ITAM Program repositories is often the bigger success point when working overall within an organization’s enterprise procurement programs.
I would pull definitions from the various IAITAM sources to compile a valid job description for each. It may have overlap in the others areas of the organization and I would consolidate and look to collect buy in from those areas to setup the dotted line connections between the core ITAM Program and the other areas that are linked to it.
At present, no. Roles will have to be aligned to various current job titles or new job titles will need to be created.
We do but it is shrouded in mystery for the Configuration & Asset Manager. As we move forward in building a program, we will see where we might be able to lower the cost of ITAM through proper and effective ITAD.
Again, actually to see the overall mobile expense and consider recommendation concerning program efficiencies.
See the whole hardware picture for once. Be able to find where hardware is just sitting idle and work to slim down the bloat.
The ITAM Program’s mission is to maintain a healthy management of the IT asset lifecycle through affordable and sustainable program efforts.
All areas are affected by ITAM. It is a horizontal program that affects everyone in an organization.
If it were up to me, we would be focused on getting our mission statement and core efforts outlined in Program Management with a true Program Manager. Policy Management would be essential to the management of organization behavior toward our assets and their tracking and disposal. We would use Comm & Education Management to build out training and continual support of ITAM knowledge across the organization.
