Strength- self-starter, over achiever, extreme curious, passionate, strong work ethics
Weakness- takes on too much
Opportunity- Certification and IAITAM Membership to advance my career and most importantly, to become someone who can truly understand my audience ( ITAM managers, practitioners admins ) so that I can articulate the value of what i represent in depth. These can generate lots of opportunities.
Threat- Always create the ( high ) expectation in my management that I can do more as I consistently delivered.Always, always, always, go back and make sure that what the interlocutor said or wrote, it is what was meant.
Often I find that miscommunication happens when the person(s) is writing or saying something in the “heat” of the moment of when tings are not going so well on their side of the fence.
When nervous are calmed, the path for discussions and further understanding is open and the miscommunication is properly handled.Unfortunately in a world of ” emails”, is easier not say what was not really meant to be “communicated”.
We are all learning. Not always, our position or titles reflect the amount of knowledge or level of preparation/readiness to the role so, always listen, actively listen and then talk. Never come from a point of superior knowledge.
You can absolutely read the “mood” of someone or how the message was received by the look a person has in their faces.
Without the Acquisition Manager and his “gatekeeping” powers, IT management ( cradle phase) would be unmanageable and led to uncontrolled costs.
The Acquisition Manager is responsible for acquiring IT goods and services for an organization. This individual acts as the gatekeeper for all IT acquisitions. The Acquisition Manager ensures that the asset meets the needs, requirements, and standards of the organization as well as those of the stakeholder. The Acquisition Manager is responsible for obtaining proper justification for products prior to purchase.
Sourcing and redeployment opportunities available for the requested asset are also the responsibility of the Acquisition Manager.The documentation provided by these trainings are an excellent source of information and can be used while articulating the difference between roles and job titles.
Proper disposal of assets making sure certificates attesting proper disposal as per laws and environmental expectations are provided.
Harvesting asset to make sure it will be re-used instead of a new purchaseYes it does however I would not have the specifics since I am not directly involved with the ITAM program of the organization.
