T: Globalisation and fast company growthwe asked a member of a different team in the organisation to raise a ticket but they raised the wrong type of ticket, this was down to them being new and us not being aware that they hadn’t had training in raising these types of tickets. this was resolved by a ticket training session being sat with the staff member and the ticket being closed out and a new one correctly opened
2 sets of eyes are better than one. It is always best to listen to the thoughts and opinions of others and brain storm to get the best results and ideas. some people see things from a different perspective or have different experiences which just strengthens the team.
we contact the vendor direct via email giving them details of the asset we require and they will send back a quote on PDF from their templates. we have a system that has templates we fill out when creating Purchase Orders.
The Acquisition manager is responsible for communicating with a number of different managers within the organisation and external personnel like vendors to confirm the most suitable assets are acquired.
We have a global ITAM team who all work together to keep our processes and programs up to date and ensure training is provided to new joiners world wide.
Storing assets for reuse at a later date if they are suitable, disposing of assets only when they are confirmed end of life and no longer able to serve a purpose in any business unit. disposing of assets in the correct way.
