We have created a template, we just need to figure out structure, and then educate and communicate how to utilize the template.
The acquisition manager acts as a gatekeeper because they are responsible for policies, standards and lifecycles. The goal is to procure cost effective items for maximum productivity.
They do to a certain extent. Our ITAM roles are spread out through the organization. Approval levels are from Asset management through CEO with financial levels. We have safety/risk look into each vendor to make sure the risk is minimal.
Proper destruction of retired assets, reusing assets if at all possible, and making smarter eco-friendly choices when it comes to purchasing items.
This is actually a future project in our department. I assume we will expect to uncover a lot of savings when it comes to corporate cell phones and tablets.
For Hardware savings, I’d like to compare at least 3 different bids for high ticket products and go with the most appealing quote.
My goal is to have a better understanding of all software that our company utilizes. I’d like to be able to gain the knowledge of what software is used for what, and how to manage renewals/contracts in a timely manner. If I can gain a better understanding of which programs do what, then I could see if we are paying for any duplicates, or possibly have something similar that we already pay for. This is how we will cut costs over time.
Our mission is to create seamless processes and policies, knowledge base articles, and reinforce structure in order to provide excellent service to our company.
We supply the needs and requests to all employees of our company. There is no individual that we do not serve.
