We have negotiated some significant cost reductions compared to last year, which we can see in the invoicing, but we do not have the reporting available yet to quantify an actual percentage.
We do not know yet, we are still in the process of establishing a more reliable and definitive software asset management program. This aspect of ITAM has been neglected by our organization for quite a while, and we have hired a dedicated Software Asset Manager and a Contract Specialist to assist us with this.
Tracking all of our IT assets throughout their entire lifecycle, while maintaining efficiency, accuracy, accountability and great customer service.
Being that ITAM includes software, nearly all of our employees are to a certain extent ITAM customers.
I think it is hard to specify which three would/could be a foundation, they are all so interdependent to a successful program.
We have already been working on that internally, it is not yet completed. There has been a lot of debate over who is really accountable vs responsible.
In most of my interaction in the IAITAM webinars, I am actually learning quite a lot just by listening to the more experienced members.

Vendor-3I have tried to bring better organization and accountability into both our inventory and disposal processes, as well as working closely with our Help Desk/Technical Services Team to make sure we are all on the same page and can be proactive to their needs, rather than reactive.
We are still in the infancy stages, we do have some policies/procedures in place, but we need to bring more automation into our workflow. We are much better off than we were a year ago, but we still have a lot of room for growth and more efficient processes.
I cannot think of any additional KPAs that are not already documented in this list, it is pretty comprehensive.
Yes, my understanding is that it went fairly well. We had some things to clean up, and it gave us the opportunity to update and refine our processes.
They only state our organization’s name, with a unique identifying number that, in conjunction with the asset’s manufacturer serial number, allow us to track assets throughout their lifecycle.
We are only exposed to/involved with our ITAM budget. We are a government entity, so investing in IT inventory has to be monitored very closely. Generally we are periodically updated as to where we are in spending vs the fiscal year budget, so we receive the go-ahead from administrators/upper management as to when we can make more purchases.
