I would not even dare. They have their own opinions on it and they stick by those opinions, e.g. Software Asset Management is a procurement officer.
Not really. The position description of my role does more than the job title suggests. And it does not help that HR has no clue how IT works.
Who knows really. There are existing positions available and occupied in the organisation insists that software management is done by the procurement team so we have essentially just given up.

We include sustainability in the selection criteria when doing a procurement. We also ensure that we are maximising the use of the assets during its productive life. There are times that assets are redeployed in other non-critical areas if there is still serviceability left in it. We have recently contracted a disposal vendor for all the disposition of the organisation.
We do but the process is not fully mapped. It is limited to engaging a company who would do the disposals.
Leverage on the existing capabilities, reduce wastage and expense, management of assets from end to end.
