May 6, 2024 at 6:05 pm in reply to: What software savings do you expect to uncover with your ITAM program? #58845Sylvia VillamanParticipant
I am unsure of the amount of savings we expect to uncover for software savings with our ITAM program? This is a question I will have to take back to my team and discuss. I only know that we hope to do better on future audits due to the large fines we’ve recently incurred from multiple audits this last fiscal year.
Sylvia VillamanParticipantThe mission of our ITAM program is to create a more effective and efficient way to manage software and hardware throughout the lifecycle, as well as to create SOPs to ensure consistency for each asset as it passes through the many hands it needs from beginning to end.
May 6, 2024 at 5:57 pm in reply to: Name individuals in your organization who are not ITAM customers. #58843Sylvia VillamanParticipantAll individuals in our organization are ITAM customers, even temp employees. Everyone requires access to to IT assets regardless how often they use them for their job duties.
Sylvia VillamanParticipantThe three KPAs I would choose are Asset Identification, Communication and Education and Documentation.

I will now be able to take advantage of networking opportunities such as the conference and the Wednesday Webinars.

April 24, 2024 at 7:11 pm in reply to: If your organization took the ITAM360 Assessment, what rating do you expect it would get for each KPA? #58230Sylvia VillamanParticipantI just started with my organization 3 days ago, so I am not quite sure. From the understanding I have, I believe we would score high on some and low on others.
April 24, 2024 at 7:10 pm in reply to: Being an IAITAM member demonstrates a commitment to growing the ITAM profession. In what ways will you personally contribute to the industry? #58229Sylvia VillamanParticipantI will personally contribute to the industry by remaining a member of IAITAM, and keeping my certifications current so that I can be up-to-date with the newest components and ideas that industry leaders are sharing. This will allow me to operate at the most knowledgeable level while at work and implement the KPAs to the best of my ability.
April 24, 2024 at 7:06 pm in reply to: How do your standards align with IAITAM’s high standards for the profession? #58228Sylvia VillamanParticipantWe do our best to meet the high standards that IAITAM has set, however we may fall short in a few areas as our department is growing quickly and it is hard to keep up with demand for service.
April 23, 2024 at 6:58 pm in reply to: Which IAITAM certification would you like to earn after CAMP? #58158Sylvia VillamanParticipantCSAM and CHAMP
Sylvia VillamanParticipantI feel the 12 cover all areas needed to be successful. It is hard enough to make sure all 12 KPAs are met with each asset, that I don’t believe adding any more would be effective.
April 23, 2024 at 6:54 pm in reply to: Has your organization ever been audited? If yes, describe how it went. #58156Sylvia VillamanParticipantYes, we were recently audited by Microsoft and it did not go well.
Sylvia VillamanParticipantAny asset that is customer-facing received a unique ID number. This ID # can be used to identify the asset when Service Desk is contacted about the asset and to track the asset throughout the lifecycle.
Sylvia VillamanParticipantAny asset that is customer-facing will receive an ID # which is used to track the lifecycle, as well as when the Service Desk is contacted about the asset.
