April 23, 2024 at 2:45 pm in reply to: Create a SWOT analysis of your current or anticipated ITAM program. #58116Matthew LepreeParticipantStrength: Quality people in our organization laying the foundation for the future of the program.
Weakness: Our inventory information needs to be validated and cleaned up, as a lot of old information was imported into our system when we switched tools.
Opportunities: As we continue to communicate our standards to our customers, hopefully we can increase productivity, accuracy and response times.
Threat: There is always the threat of someone using their p-card to purchase a non-standard, unapproved item and plugging it into our system. This is why we are trying to communicate as best we can what our standards are and why.April 23, 2024 at 2:40 pm in reply to: Describe a time when there was a miscommunication and explain how you handled it. #58114Matthew LepreeParticipantA department was expecting us to order a non-standard cellular item which should have been handled through our administrative team. We ended up having a Teams meeting with all parties to explain why their request needed to be handled differently.

April 23, 2024 at 12:43 pm in reply to: Discuss how the Acquisition Manager acts as a gatekeeper. #58096Matthew LepreeParticipantThe Acquisition Manager in our organization has to request approval from administrators for all standard and non-standard purchases in our organization. In some cases, ITAM will make the purchases using IT funds. In other cases, the individual departments must provide their own funding source, especially for non-standard items.
April 23, 2024 at 12:41 pm in reply to: How will you explain the various job titles to the Human Resources Department? #58095Matthew LepreeParticipantThat would be difficult because we have many employees with the same job titles with varying responsibilities and roles.
Matthew LepreeParticipantI would say not really
